At the NM/AZ Book Awards.

THE DEATH OF A FALCON, the fourth Muirteach MacPhee mystery, has won Best Mystery 2018 in the recent NM/AZ Book Awards.  The awards banquet was held in Albuquerque on November 16.  I was delighted–and surprised!  But what a pleasant surprise it was!

In other news this fall, I attended the Magna Cum Murder Conference in Indianapolis in October.  It’s such a warm, friendly conference, held in the beautiful Columbia Club right in downtown Indianapolis, right across from the biggest Civil War Memorial in the whole world, I swear.  Reeves Wortham and Peter Lovesey were the guests of honor.

Earlier in the fall I had a fun time presenting at the Bad Girls Book Club in Los Alamos, and in Taos at the Op Cit Mystery Book Club. Wonderful groups, and I thank both of them for hosting me–as they say, it is great to be had!
